Asclepias incarnata, commonly known as swamp milkweed, is one of the showier milkweeds, with vibrant pink flower clusters. This hardy plant thrives in moist conditions, though it grows nicely in our well-draining farm soils (provided it is irrigated) and serves as a vital host plant for monarch butterflies. It reaches 2-4 feet tall, blooming mid to late summer with fragrant blooms that attract pollinators.
