Showy Tick Trefoil is a summer blooming native legume with, as the name suggests, showy pinky flowers. This perennial establishes readily in a meadow-like matrix, so should be planted tightly to keep it upright instead of sprawling. Its cute seed pods have fine hairs that will stick to passing animals or clothing. Its long taproot makes it drought resistant and it requires minimal maintenance once established. Works well as a cut-flower, and a host plant for several species of lepidoptera.
