Imagine if strawberry plants formed compact mounds of foliage and sent out upright flowering stems 1-3' tall and you'd have Sharpleaf Cinquefoil. It produces clusters of white to creamy-yellow flowers much of the summer. This native perennial excels in lean, well-drained soils and full sun, its taproot making it very drought hardy, and its fine hairs resistant to predation. Happy to compete in meadows or add flare to garden borders.

Works well as a cut-flower, with a similar texture to Geum.
