Eurybia macrophylla, commonly known as Large-Leaved Aster, is a robust native perennial that brings elegant white flowers to woodland understories and forest edges from late summer through fall, though it produces fewer flowering stems than its relative E. divaricata. Its large leaves and tendency to spread by rhizomes makes it a wonderful groundcover. It establishes easily in moist, well-drained soil and shade.
