Sneezeweed is a vibrant perennial forb with bright yellow flowers and that have a pronounced, fuzzy center. They bloom later in the season, once many of the other colorful flowers have already come and gone. This hardy native plant thrives in full sun and attracts pollinators throughout late summer and fall, and contrary to its name, it does not cause people to sneeze more than any other insect-pollinated plant. It is a larval host plant for butterfly species.
