A stately shrub with unique, peeling bark, Ninebark grows vigorously when young but caps out at about 8-10' tall in ideal growing conditions. After foliage emerges in the spring, Ninebark flowers in profuse, white clusters along the length of second-year stems. These are followed by reddish, polygonal seed pods in the summer.

Ninebark is one of the most versatile and easy to grow shrubs for cut-flower growers, who harvest stems for flowers, seed pods, and foliage. It's tolerant of wet and dry soils alike, and grows well in full sun and part shade.

This dynamic shrub is also cherished by wildlife - pollinators, birds, and many insect larvae make use of Ninebark for food and habitat.
