Jacob's Ladder is one of the best native groundcovers for shaded woodland gardens and forest edges. This native plant features soft blue or lavender flowers clustered atop slender stems, complemented by attractive feathery foliage that adds texture and visual interest throughout the growing season. It blooms in early spring but otherwise provides gorgeous foliage throughout much of the growing season. It can grow in full sun if soils are not allowed to fully dry out.
