Pycnanthemum tenuifolium, or Narrow-leaf mountain mint, is our favorite of the Mountain Mints. It is just as tough and easy to grow, despite its shorter stature (about 2') and finer, grass-like foliage, but more delicate in appearance and useful in shorter garden applications.

Like its relatives, its foliage emits a powerful, minty aroma, it attracts loads of pollinators, and it prefers well-drained soil and partial to full sun conditions.

We find this is one of the best Mountain Mints for cut-flowers, as it may be harvested in both foliar and flowering stages.
