Rudbeckia fulgida, or Orange Coneflower, is a vibrant perennial with bright golden-yellow petals surrounding dark brown centers. It is a tough plant: resistant to deer browsing, drought-tolerant, it thrives in full or partial sun. This low-maintenance native plant is a garden stalwart, blooming at about 3' tall mid-summer through fall, attracting loads of pollinators with both nectar and pollen, and songbirds with its abundant seed.
