Scirpus cyperinus, commonly known as Wool Grass or brown sedge, is an incredibly ornamental Graminoid native to wetlands of much of the eastern United States. It is easy to grow in rain gardens, bioswales, pond edges, wet meadows and sunny areas that stay moist most of the season. It has lots of wildlife value as habitat and food for aquatic birds, and its beautiful, tall seed heads look wonderful in fresh and dried arrangements.
